Another piece produced for a competition set by The Northern School of Art, the brief to illustrate the story of the Monkey Hangers of Hartlepool.

This version featured the monkey struggling in the sea as onlooker watched, set in front of Hartlepool harbour and a troublesome looking northern sky.
